How to Install IPTV on a Samsung Smart TV (Tizen)

What you need before you start

• A Samsung Smart TV connected to the internet. If an app does not show up in search, Samsung says it is likely not compatible with your model.
• A Samsung account signed in on the TV. Samsung now requires one to open or download apps.
• Your IPTV Nord login from the welcome email: the M3U link, or the server URL, username and password.
• A phone or computer to open the app maker's website for a few minutes.

How to install IPTV on Samsung Smart TV

1. Sign in and update the TV

   Check that your Samsung account is signed in. Then open Settings > Support > Software Update (under All Settings on newer models) and select Update Now if it is offered. An updated TV shows more apps in the store.

2. Search the Samsung Apps store for Set IPTV

   Press Home, then press left on the remote to open the menu and select Search. On some models you open Apps and choose the magnifying glass instead. Type Set IPTV and pick the app called Set iptv. Lookalike names are common, so match it exactly.

3. Install and open the app

   Select Install. When it finishes, select Add to Home so you can find it again, then Open.

4. Write down the MAC address

   The app shows a MAC address, six pairs of letters and numbers separated by colons, and the website to visit. Take a photo of the screen with your phone. The letter O and the number 0 look alike, and one wrong character sends your playlist to someone else's TV.

5. Open the Set IPTV website

   On your phone or computer, go to setsysteme.com, the official Set IPTV site. Accept the cookie category for the bot check, or the upload form will not work. Choose the option to test or upload a playlist and type your MAC address.

6. Add your IPTV Nord playlist

   Select Add new playlist and name it IPTV Nord. Paste the full M3U link from our email into Playlist URL. If you prefer your Xtream Codes details, fill in the host or URL, port, username and password fields instead. Complete the captcha and select Submit.

7. Restart the app on your TV

   Press Back or Exit until Set IPTV closes, then open it again from Home. The playlist loads with your channels, movies and series. The first TV guide download can take a few minutes, so give it time before you judge it.

8. Test, then activate before day 7

   Watch a few channels, including a 4K one if your TV supports it. If you want to keep the app, pay the activation on the Set IPTV website with your MAC address before the 7 days end. Why Samsung TV IPTV apps charge their own fee

Samsung TV players are made by small independent developers who charge once per TV after a free trial. IPTV Nord does not receive this money and cannot refund it, and your IPTV Nord plan price stays the same whichever app you use. Using Smart IPTV instead of Set IPTV

Smart IPTV works the same way and costs less to activate. You add your playlist on its website, never on the TV itself. To use it:

1. Install Smart IPTV from the Samsung Apps store and open it once so it shows your MAC address.
2. On your phone, go to siptv.app/mylist, type the MAC address and paste your M3U link into the URL field.
3. Tick Detect EPG so the app picks up the TV guide link from our playlist, then send the form.
4. Close the app on the TV and open it again. Your channels load.

Once it works, lock your MAC address in the app's settings (the default PIN is 0000) so nobody else can replace your playlist.

Best settings for smooth IPTV on a Samsung TV

• Use the LAN port. Many TVs have a 100 Mbps Ethernet port. That is still more than one 4K stream needs, and it is far steadier than Wi-Fi through a wall.
• On Wi-Fi, pick the 5 GHz network and keep the router out of cabinets.
• Power it off properly once a week. The remote only puts the TV to sleep. Unplug it for 60 seconds to clear its memory.
• Run Device Care from Settings > Support > Device Care on 2022 and newer models to check the TV and free up memory.
