The Toronto Tempo began play in May 2026 as the first WNBA team based outside the United States, and for 2026-27 the PWHL adds a team in nearby Hamilton.
Road trips are where the time zone bites. When the Leafs or Raptors visit Vancouver, a 7 p.m. local start is 9 p.m. in Toronto from November to early March, now that BC keeps its clocks on Pacific time all year, and 10 p.m. in the fall and spring, and catch-up in the TV guide replays recent shows on channels that support it. Leafs games are split between national and regional broadcasters, so the channel changes from night to night. Plan for about 10 Mbps for each screen in Full HD and 25 Mbps for each screen in 4K. Most home plans sold in Toronto today are faster than that. A stable connection matters more than raw speed: a TV wired to the router will beat a faster plan on weak condo Wi-Fi.
