IPTV in Vancouver: the short answer

IPTV works in Vancouver on any TELUS, Rogers or independent home internet plan. IPTV Nord streams 25,000+ live channels and 120,000+ movies and series to your Smart TV, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV or phone. There is no satellite dish and no cable box, and setup takes about 10 minutes.

Plans start at $19 CAD for one month and $79 CAD for 12 months, paid by Interac e-Transfer with no contract. Every plan includes local channels for Vancouver and BC, Canadian sports in English and French, and international channels in many languages. Try it on your own TV with a free 24-hour trial.

What Pacific time means for live sports in Vancouver

On Pacific time, games played in the East start in the afternoon and Vancouver home games start in the evening. Since 2026, BC no longer turns its clocks back in November, so Vancouver is 3 hours behind Toronto from March to early November and 2 hours behind in winter. A 7 p.m. puck drop in Toronto is 4 p.m. in Vancouver in the fall and spring and 5 p.m. from November to early March, and a 1 p.m. Eastern NFL kickoff is 10 a.m. in September and October and 11 a.m. after that.

The Vancouver Goldeneyes joined the PWHL in 2025-26 and play at the Pacific Coliseum. Canucks games move between national and regional broadcasters, so browse the Canadian sports categories or ask us in Live Chat where tonight's game is listed. For an afternoon game you miss at work, catch-up in the TV guide replays recent shows on channels that support it. Set your Fire TV Stick or TV to the Pacific time zone so the guide shows local start times.

Cantonese, Mandarin and Punjabi channels for Metro Vancouver

Every plan includes international channels at no extra cost, and three groups come up again and again in Metro Vancouver:

  • Chinese: Cantonese and Mandarin news, dramas and variety, often requested in Richmond, Burnaby and East Vancouver.
  • South Asian: Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu channels for families in Surrey and North Delta.
  • Filipino: Tagalog news, talk shows and entertainment from the Philippines, for families across the Lower Mainland.

You also get Persian and Turkish channels, often asked for on the North Shore, plus Latin American, Arabic and European groups. Each group is listed by region in the TV guide, so a grandparent can find Cantonese news without scrolling past thousands of channels. Choose Full Channels when you order to see all of them. A second or third screen costs less than many people expect: on the 12-month IPTV subscription, 2 devices are $129 CAD and 3 devices are $179 CAD for the whole year.

Vancouver home internet: condo towers and basement suites

IPTV runs on any Vancouver internet provider, so the real job is getting a strong signal to the TV. TELUS and Rogers, which now runs the former Shaw network, cover most of the region. Novus brings fibre into many condo and apartment buildings, Beanfield serves some downtown towers, and independents such as TekSavvy and Freedom Home offer plans too. Two kinds of homes cause most Wi-Fi trouble:

  • Concrete condo towers: concrete and dozens of neighbouring networks weaken Wi-Fi. Use the 5 GHz band near the router, or an Ethernet cable to the TV box.
  • Basement suites: if the router is upstairs, your streams share the line with the whole house. Ask for an Ethernet run or a mesh point downstairs, and test in the evening when everyone is online.

Apple households can follow our Apple TV and iPhone guide. On Fire TV and Android TV, the TiviMate setup guide gives you the easiest TV guide to read. Our roundup of the best IPTV apps for Smart TVs covers the rest.

IPTV BC: from Burnaby and Surrey to the Island and the Okanagan

IPTV in British Columbia works the same way outside Vancouver, at the same price. It works across Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam, New Westminster, the North Shore, Langley and Delta, and further out in Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George. Local news for Vancouver and BC has its own category in the TV guide.

Heavy rain can interrupt a satellite TV signal, but IPTV arrives over your cable or fibre internet line, so a wet November evening does not change the picture. A wind storm that cuts the power or the internet is another story: when your line goes down, IPTV stops too. IPTV is not a good fit everywhere, though. On a remote property with slow DSL, or on a satellite internet plan with a monthly data cap, streams may buffer or use up your data.

Questions

IPTV Vancouver FAQ

Can I watch Canucks games with IPTV in Vancouver?

IPTV Nord includes Canadian sports channels in English and French, which is where NHL games in Canada are usually shown. Rights can change during a season, so we cannot promise a specific game or channel. The simple test is to watch a Canucks game during your free 24-hour trial and see how it looks on your TV.

What are IPTV Nord support hours in Vancouver time?

Live Chat is open 9 a.m. to midnight Eastern time, which is 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Vancouver from March to early November and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in winter, 7 days a week. Most orders are active within 15 to 30 minutes during those hours. If you plan to watch a late game, set up and test your device before support closes so help is on hand.

Does IPTV work in a Vancouver basement suite with shared Wi-Fi?

Yes, if the shared connection has room for your streams. Plan for about 10 Mbps per Full HD screen on top of what the rest of the house uses. The weak spot is usually the Wi-Fi signal through the floor, so an Ethernet cable or a mesh point in the suite helps most.

Will the TV guide show Pacific times?

Yes, in most apps. The TV guide (EPG) follows your device's clock, so set your Fire TV Stick, Android TV or Smart TV to the Pacific time zone. Since BC stopped changing its clocks in 2026, an older device may need a software update to show the right time. If the guide still looks hours off, some apps have a time shift setting for the guide, and we can fix it with you in Live Chat.

Do I pay the same for IPTV in Surrey, Victoria or Kelowna?

Yes. Prices are the same everywhere in Canada, from $19 CAD for one month to $79 CAD for 12 months on one device, paid by Interac e-Transfer. Your login works anywhere in BC with a good internet connection, as long as you stay within your number of screens.
