How do you check which Fire TV Stick 4K you have?

Open Settings > My Fire TV > About. The first line shows the device name, for example Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Then look at the software version. On these sticks, Fire OS versions start with 6, 7 or 8, while a version that starts with 1 means Vega OS. If the name includes Select, TiviMate will not install.

Do you get real 4K IPTV on a Fire TV Stick 4K?

Yes, on channels, movies and series offered in 4K, when four things line up:

• A 4K TV and the right HDMI port. 4K needs HDCP 2.2, which many TVs only offer on ports labelled 4K, UHD or HDCP 2.2.
• A 4K stream. Most live channels are HD or Full HD; 4K comes on selected channels and films, often in their own group.
• About 25 Mbps of steady internet for that screen.
• A solid connection. The 2023 and newer sticks have Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi 6E on the second 4K Max). Amazon's Ethernet adapter runs at up to 100 Mbps, which is plenty for one 4K stream.

How do you set up IPTV on a Fire TV Stick 4K?
