What does an IPTV subscription include?

An IPTV subscription usually includes four things: live channels, a TV guide, movies and series on demand, and catch-up on some channels. You get all four inside one app, with one login.

• Live channels. They play on a schedule, like cable. The app sorts them into groups, so you open "Sports" or "Kids" instead of scrolling through thousands of names.
• A TV guide (EPG). A grid that shows what is on now and in the next few days. You pick a show from the grid and the channel opens.
• Video on demand. A library of movies and series that you start whenever you want. With IPTV Nord, that library holds 120,000+ titles.
• Catch-up. On channels that support it, you can go back in the guide and replay a show that already aired.

Why do channel lists differ so much between IPTV services?

Channel lists differ because each provider builds its list for a certain audience. Two services can both say "thousands of channels" and still give you very different TV. These are the things that change the most:

• Home market. Many IPTV services are made for viewers in the US, the UK or Europe. They may carry plenty of American or European sports and very few Canadian channels.
• Local stations. Some lists include local news for several Canadian cities. Others have one national feed and nothing for your region. Our page on local channels on IPTV shows what to look for.
• Languages. French, South Asian, Arabic, Chinese or Filipino channels are strong with some providers and missing with others. See French-language channels and channels from other countries for details.
• Versions of the same channel. One channel can appear in HD, Full HD and 4K, plus a backup copy. That makes a list look bigger than it is. We explain it in which IPTV has the most channels.
• Changes over time. With every provider, channels get added, renamed, moved or dropped. A list you see today is not a promise for next season.

Which channel categories come with IPTV Nord?

Every IPTV Nord plan comes with the same 27 channel groups. The plan length and the number of devices change the price, not the channels. Here is how the groups fit together:

When you order, you pick one of two channel packages. Full Channels holds every group above. English Channels Only is a shorter list that leaves out the French and international groups, so it is quicker to scroll with a remote. Both packages cost the same, and our team can switch your line later if your household changes its mind.

We describe the lineup by category. The channels inside each group can change over time, so the check you do yourself, on the channels you actually watch, matters more than any list.

Do you get every channel with IPTV?

No. No IPTV service carries every channel in the world, and no honest provider can promise that one channel or one game will be there all year.

TV in Canada is split among many companies. English and French rights are often sold separately, local stations have different owners in each city, and some sports now stream only inside apps. A provider's list is a snapshot, not a copy of everything on Canadian TV.

So be careful with any seller who says "all channels" or "every game". Ask a simpler question: are the 10 channels I watch most on this list, and do they play smoothly at 9 p.m.?

How can you check the channel list before you pay?

You can check it in three steps, and none of them costs anything:

1. Search the channel groups. On our home page, type a sport, a language or your city into the channel group search. It shows which group covers it, for example "hockey", "Punjabi" or "Calgary".
